The Power of a Praying Woman
It may seem easier to pray for your spouse, your children, your friends, and your extended family, but God wants to hear your requests for your life too. He loves it when you come to Him for the things you need and ask Him to help you become the woman you have always longed to be.
Together we will read “The Power of a Praying Woman” by Stormie Omartian. Through our discussion and the accompanying study guide, we will learn to trust God with our deepest longings, cover every area of life with prayer, and maintain a right heart before God.
Resource required: Your Bible. The book “The Power of a Praying Woman” by Stormie Omartian is required for the study. The accompanying study guide is also recommended. (available through Amazon, Indigo, or most Christian bookstores).

Genesis – God’s character, plan, and purpose for you
*This is a 2-semester course, September 2025 – April 2026.
Genesis serves as the starting point of the entire biblical narrative, laying the foundation for significant themes such as creation and order, covenant and promise, and what it means to be human – concepts that recur throughout the Bible. From the creation of the cosmos to the stories of the patriarchs, Genesis tells the story of a God who acts with intention, engages directly in human affairs, and brings purpose amid human shortcomings.
Each section of Genesis invites reflection on the nature of God, the role of humanity, and the unfolding of history through divine involvement. In this study, we will approach Genesis not simply as ancient history, but as a work that continues to offer insight into life and our place in God's world. We invite you to join us as we explore the wonderful world of Genesis.
Resource required: Your Bible. Handouts will be provided.

*Please note: this is a 2-semester course, starting in September 2025, and continuing in the winter session January-April 2026.
Ten Steps to Christian Maturity
“The great difference between present day Christianity and that of which we read is that to us our Christian Walk is primarily a performance. To the Apostles and Disciples, it was a real experience. Not a code or a rule of life; it was the invasion in their life of an entirely new Spirit and way of living.”
The Christian life is meant to be a life of victory, joy, peace and purposeful living. But, to some of us the Christian walk is a confusing journey without power or success. What’s missing?
Through our discussion on the lives of Peter, Paul and the other disciples, we will go back to the basics of Christianity, and journey through the path to Christian maturity. Topics include basic Christian doctrine; spiritual disciplines; the anointing of the Holy Spirit; witnessing; and how to steward our time, money and spiritual gifts.
Resource required: Your Bible. A notebook for journaling is recommended.

Just Like Jesus
God loves you just the way you are, but he refuses to leave you there. He wants you to be just like Jesus. Can you think of a better offer? Jesus felt no guilt; God wants you to feel no guilt. Jesus had no bad habits; God wants to do away with yours. Jesus had no fears; God wants the same for you. Jesus had no anxiety about death; you needn’t either. God’s desire, his plan, his ultimate goal is to make you into the image of Christ.
But how does this change occur? And why does the change seem so slow? If God wants me to be just like Jesus, why do I still seem just like me?
Together we will read “Just Like Jesus” by Max Lucado. Through our discussion and Scripture, we uncover our God who loves you just way you are, but refuses to leave you there. He wants you to be just like Jesus.
Resource required: Your Bible. The book “Just Like Jesus – Learning to have a heart like His“ by Max Lucado is required for the study. (available through Amazon, Indigo, or most Christian bookstores).
