The mission of CSC is to introduce people to Jesus and help them become His fully devoted followers. Kingdom Week is all about sparking that mission wherever you are planted.
Kingdom Week will be a time where all of us, as a collective community of believers, become a tangible expression of Christ’s sacrificial love and care for those around us.
Phase 1: PRAY
May 16 – May 30
Leading up to Kingdom Week, we invite you, your family, and/or small group, to pause and listen to God’s voice, and ask these questions:
“God, what are you saying to me? How do you want me to love and serve those around me?”
From May 16 to May 30, create space and ask God to show you the needs around you, and listen for His direction. The weather will (hopefully) be beautiful! So maybe host a neighbourhood BBQ, or baseball game, or soccer game, or bike ride! Invite neighbours over for dinner, write encouragement notes, or maybe host a neighbourhood clean-up day.*
Spend the next 2 weeks praying about what God is saying to you, your family or your community group.
*Contact Centre for the City for more opportunities to reach out to New Canadians and those on the margins in your own community (403-520-1227).
Phase 2: PLAN
May 30 – June 13
We have spent time in prayer, asking God to show us the needs around us. Now it’s time to respond to His promptings and make a plan.
From May 30 – June 13 ask the question: God what do you want me to do about it?
What day of kingdom week should we choose? Who do we need to invite to dinner or BBQ? What supplies do I need to gather?
Share your kingdom week plan with your friends, community group or pastor.
Phase 3: PUT INTO ACTION: KINGDOM WEEK
June 14 – 20
It is Kingdom Week! From June 14—20, 2026, put into action what God has called you to do. Invite the Holy Spirit to lead and empower you every step of the way, surrender your expectations, and trust Him with the outcome.
Phase 4: PRAISE
June 21 – July 5
From June 21 – July 5, let’s praise God and celebrate what God did and is doing among us! We encourage everyone to share their Kingdom Week story: What did you do? How did it go?
