Grace Church – Rivne, Ukraine
Grace Church has been acting as a beacon of light and hope to its community since 2002. Its 470+ members provide ministries for all ages in a church that continues to lead people spiritually despite the challenges of war. That ministry includes the traditional (Sunday services, age-based ministries, study groups, baptisms (33 in 2023 – many of whom were refugees), Summer Camps, church retreats, and more) as well as ministry arising from the current conflict (chaplaincy, ministry to military families, refugee support for over 21,700 families since the start of the war (as of November 2023), etc.).
Refugee assistance has included providing basic necessities, medicines, hygiene products, clothing, bedding and food. Support groups have been initiated to care for the mothers, wives and sisters of those called to serve in the military. The church recently helped initiate the opening of the Grace City Assistance Center to support refugees, families of military personnel, war veterans, and all those affected by the war. Their prayer request is that God would expand their opportunities to help people affected by the war, that they would be able to comfort the families of fallen soldiers, and that they would remain steadfast and faithful in their service for the Lord.
Pastor Andriy says...” Dear friends, our tireless Angels from God! Despite all the terrible and difficult things that are happening in Ukraine because of the war, thanks to your ministry and faithfulness to our church, people who are fleeing from grief and trying to rebuild their lives have a chance to do so....
...thanks to our partnership with you, which was definitely organized by the Lord, we can continue to help these people with a touch of love and practical help! We sincerely thank the Lord for hearing our prayers!”
