In 2016, Kaitlyn moved to Madrid, Spain with SEND International as a full-time missionary. She studied Spanish for two years full-time before jumping into ministry at a refuge house for women—Casa Refugio, a ministry of Amar Dragoste. These women were rescued from gender violence, domestic violence, and the sex trade. In 2019, she met Franklin at a SEND Spain Conference, where he was an invited musician.
In September 2021, they were married and Franklin was accepted as a SEND Canada member. In December of the same year, Franklin's two daughters from a previous marriage came to live with them full-time. They currently serve together in Spain.
Franklin and Kaitlyn have a passion for serving those in need as well as equipping others. They partner with Amar Dragoste and their local church. They feel called to reach out into the community, support local ministries, and the local church, and teach others so that they can grow. Additionally, they are passionate about serving young families and marriages, and Franklin is involved in music ministry.
Franklin and Kaitlyn's desire is to serve wherever God calls them with the skills and abilities he has given them. They both see the great need in Spain and desire to help meet this need.
