Transfiguration Evangelical Baptist Church – Rivne, Ukraine
Transfiguration Baptist Church in Rivne, pastored by Oleksandr Havryliuk, has been serving God and the local community for 14 years. During this time, over 120 people have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and entered into a covenant with Him through water baptism. Today (supported by HART, CSC and donors) the church has approximately 150 members. Every Sunday, 20–40 people who do not yet know Jesus personally attend services, seeking a deeper relationship with Him.
The church focuses on reaching people through children's and teen ministries. Dedicated leaders work closely with children, teens, and their families, inviting them to a variety of church events. The youth ministry team is actively engaged in evangelism, organizing Bible study small groups, youth gatherings, worship evenings, discussion clubs, sports activities, and other events to encourage friendships and introduce young people to God.
Transfiguration Baptist Church also has a strong focus on social outreach. They assist low-income families with food packages, support students from disadvantaged backgrounds with education, provide material aid to elderly community members living in poverty, and offer rehabilitation and support for people struggling with addictions.
A core principle for church members is active participation in home Bible study groups, where spiritual growth and relationships are nurtured. The church currently operates 12 home groups.
While their ministry is primarily focused on the surrounding neighbourhood where their house of prayer is located, Transfiguration Baptist Church welcomes anyone who crosses its threshold, extending an open invitation to all who seek God.
