In the rugged mountains of Cambodia, a young pastor oversees an astounding network of 100 churches scattered across remote regions. His unwavering dedication to his faith takes him on long, arduous journeys, sometimes stretching over 400 kilometers, where he braves treacherous roads that often dissolve into impassable mud trails. In the worst conditions, he’s been forced to drag his motorcycle up steep mountain paths with nothing more than a rope.
One Sunday, this determined pastor shared an inspiring story with his Sunday school class. He spoke of fellow pastors in a neighbouring country who had been provided with mini-farms to support their families. For just $350, these pastors could sustain their households by raising pigs, ducks, frogs, and plants—allowing them to continue their ministry without the constant burden of financial hardship. Moved by the story and their love for Jesus, the children, some as young as three years old, took it upon themselves to raise the money needed to support a Laotian pastor. With relentless determination, they went out into their community, working hard until they had saved every penny. Their passion soon spread to the adults in the church, who were inspired to join the cause and raise money for more mini-farms.
The young pastor continues to marvel at the deep hunger for God among his people. For his congregations, church is not just a Sunday service—it’s an all-day gathering filled with worship, evangelism, and prayer, often stretching late into the night. Their faith has yielded extraordinary results. Over 600 miraculous healings have been documented in the area, a testament to the power of their devotion and their commitment to sharing the Gospel in even the most remote corners of the country.
Psalm 103:2-4
Bless the Lord, my soul, And do not forget any of His benefits; Who pardons all your guilt, Who heals all your diseases;
