After fleeing domestic violence in another province, Jennifer found herself vulnerable, homeless, and without proper ID. She had no community support and little money. She was quickly picked up by a pimp in Calgary who forced her into horrific conditions, threatening her family and using violence to control her.
When Jennifer reached out to HER Victory she didn’t know how to escape. Together, we created safety plans and developed the necessary steps needed to report and regain some stability.
Today, Jennifer’s abuser is behind bars, and Jennifer is on the path to healing and recovery. ‘Thank you for believing in me and seeing the best for me when I couldn’t even see it for myself,’ she shared. We are so proud of her strength and progress. Jennifer's journey is a powerful testament to resilience and the impact of support.
