In the midst of the festivity and angelic announcements there are parts of the Christmas story we don't talk about but they are also integral to the Christmas narrative. The killing of babies in Bethlehem results in Jesus and his family fleeing for their lives as refugees. Jesus identifies with our pain and sorrow because He came as a man of sorrows who is acquainted with grief!
