Henry highlights how a right understanding of creation shapes our view of God, ourselves, and the world. He begins with Genesis 1:1, emphasizing God's power and sovereignty as the foundation of everything. Genesis 1:26–27 reveals our identity as image-bearers of God, giving us inherent worth and purpose. In Genesis 2:7, the creation of Adam shows the personal, life-giving connection between God and humanity. Henry argues that this view of creation offers meaning, value, and hope—challenging materialism and despair—and calls us to live with responsibility, love, and care for one another and the world.
